Lewes chamber honors Sgt. Dave Lorah

Sgt. David Lorah of the Lewes Police Department is retiring after 29 years of service. At its Jan. 25 membership breakfast meeting, the Lewes Chamber of Commerce honored Lorah for his many years of providing excellent support for the chamber's special events and contributing to the success of the Lewes Christmas Parade, jointly sponsored by the City of Lewes and the chamber.

Also in attendance were Mayor Ted Becker, City Manager Ann Marie Townshend, Lewes Police Chief Thomas Spell and additional members of Lewes Police Department.

Speaker of the House Rep. Pete Schwartzkopf, D-Rehoboth Beach; Sen. Ernie Lopez, R- Lewes; and Rep. Steve Smyk, R-Milton were the featured speakers.
