Lewes Dairy hosts Christmas in July

July 12, 2018

Lewes Dairy hosted its second annual Christmas in July at American Legion Post 17 in Lewes July 3 where children of all ages found goodies and treats, and had fun times while helping the Marine Corps promote their Toys for Tots program. The event included a 5K run, Kiddie K, a family race and a walker competition.

Along with the run and walk, children and adults could speak with Santa Claus, make gingerbread houses, play games, visit Santa’s mailroom to write a letter to the big guy, make an elf costume in the print shop and even hear a story by Mrs. Claus.

“Christmas in July is meant to be a family event,” said Sherry Hastings, marketing director for Lewes Dairy. “Lewes Dairy, its employees and family members believe in supporting our local communities and giving back to those in need.”

Along with Lewes Dairy, sponsors contributing to the event were American Legion Post 17, WJBR, Races2run, Nova Timing, Unique Image, Evergreen Packaging, the Cape Gazette, Olde Country Gardens, the U.S. Marine Corps, Sprint Quality Printing, Grotto Pizza, Lloyd’s Market, Cinta’s, Sweeney’s Bakery, Home Paramount Pest Control and Candy Kitchen.
