Lewes FD Auxiliary seeks rummage vendors by March 19

The Lewes Fire Department Auxiliary is organizing an indoor garage “fire sale” for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at Station 2, 32198 Janice Road, Lewes at the Nassau Bridge.

Anyone looking to sell merchandise, new or used, can reserve a 10-foot space, including a 6-foot table to display their wares for only $20. Deadline to register for a space is Tuesday, March 19. The event will be advertised via printed signs, email, Facebook, the department’s electronic sign and a listing in the Cape Gazette. Space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is a great way to clear out the clutter and get ready for spring.

Since 1796, citizens of Lewes have stepped forward to join the ranks of the town's volunteer fire service. For 200 years the association has been filled with men and women wanting to serve others. Since 2009, the LFD has once again once boasted an auxiliary that maintains the same mission, to serve.
