Lewes library to run 31 Chances to Win raffle March 1-31

For the second year in a row, Lewes Public Library will hold its popular 31 Chances to Win raffle.

Beginning Friday, March 1, and continuing throughout the month, the library will hold a daily drawing to give out $100 in gift certificates.

Raffle tickets are on sale now and will continue through Sunday, March 31. Tickets are $20 each, three for $50, or seven for $100. The more tickets one buys, the better the chances to win. If a ticket is not drawn one day, it will remain in the pot for future drawings.

Almost 50 local businesses including restaurants, clothing stores, gift shops and hotels have contributed more than $3,000 worth of prizes. In fact, businesses were so generous, the library will hold daily double drawings at the end of the month to give out extra gift certificates. Notices of each day’s winner and the randomly drawn gift certificate(s) will be posted on the library’s website and Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Winners may pick up their gift certificates in the library or have them mailed.

Lewes Public Library is an independent library, and every year it must raise more than 50 percent of its annual operating budget. Fundraisers like this allow the library to keep the doors open and continue to bring wonderful programs and offerings to the public free of charge.
