Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary scholarship applications due May 1
The Lewes-Rehoboth Beach Rotary Club is accepting applications for the Eschenbach, Moore and Gallery Memorial Scholarship, in honor of former Lewes-Rehoboth Beach Rotary members Sam Eschenbach, Ed Moore and Dr. William Gallery, DVM.
The $4,000 scholarship is awarded to one or more college-bound high school seniors majoring in arts, science, engineering, health services and other avenues of higher education. The scholarship is open to any senior who lives in the Cape Henlopen School District.
Students interested in the scholarship must complete an application, which was designed to highlight academic superiority and a high level of achievement in their field of study. They must also submit two teacher’s evaluations, and a project demonstrating their field of study. A complete set of transcripts must also be submitted with the application.
The Lewes-Rehoboth Beach Rotary Club has the right to decline awarding the scholarship at its discretion in total or in part, should an applicant not meet the minimum requirements. The scholarship awards are tied to a minimum grade point average of 3.0 but may be adjusted for certain fields of study or for any other reason. Additional requirements may also be set at the discretion of the Lewes-Rehoboth Beach Rotary Club board of directors.
Students may request an application through their school counselor's office or by emailing LewesRehobothRotary@gmail.com.
The application deadline is Wednesday, May 1.
