Lewes Senior Activity Center elects new officers and directors

The Lewes Senior Activity Center held its annual meeting June 21. Three new board members, Cheryl Buxton, Sue Elliot and John Walker Sr., were elected to serve three-year terms.

Outgoing board members are Maxine Scholtz, Peggy Richards and Rhoda Rosenthal, whose terms expired. The board also elected officers for the year: Andy Zampini, president; Irene Soroka, vice president; Jeff Lynn, treasurer; and Marjorie Weber, secretary. Other board members are Patricia Zangaro and John Workman.

The Lewes Senior Activity Center has served the 50+ adult population in the community for over 50 years by providing a wide range of programs and activities that reinforce the belief that those who remain active physically, mentally and socially lead healthier and more independent lives.
