Lewes should protect homeowners’ rights

July 19, 2018

As a homeowner on Lewes Beach, I am appalled that the town is taking the side of visitors over the taxpaying citizens.

People park in my front yard, have had picnics on my porch, clean off their naked children, leave their trash, yell at me for cleaning my porch, leave their cars running to cool off while I have to go inside and close my windows, clean off all their beach toys in the road that gets vacuumed and threaten me if I ask them to do that on the beach, to name just a few of the benefits of visitors.

Come on, Lewes, we can do better than that. Protect your taxpayers and residents, or this will become a rental town.
