Lewes/Rehoboth 8-10 All-Stars advance to championship

7/16 UPDATE: The Lewes/Rehoboth All-Stars beat Laurel 5-2 July 15 to earn a spot in the championship round of the 8-10 tournament. Lewes/Rehoboth will play the winner of Laurel and Lower Sussex. Lewes/Rehoboth needs to win only one game to earn the title, while their opponent will have to beat them twice to claim the championship. 

7/14 UPDATE: The Lewes/Rehoboth All-Stars advanced to the semifinals of the District 3 tournament July 13, with an 18-13 win over Lower Sussex. 

 

The Lewes/Rehoboth All-Stars opened the District 3 8-10 baseball tournament July 12 with hot bats, scoring 11 runs in the first inning against Millsboro on the way to a four-inning 15-3 victory.

Six different players had hits in the contest. Kasen Adams and Jameson MacFee each had two hits, while Jameson Pease, Briggs Gannon, Robbie Myers, Ben Pease and Cole Kastor each delivered a hit at the plate.

Gannon, Adams, Jameson Pease, MacFee, Jacoby Clark, Kastor and Cole Gannon garnered RBIs in the game.

Lewes/Rehoboth used five pitchers in the game, with Adams striking out three batters while reliever Robbie Myers added two Ks.

“We had a great overall team win,” said Lewes/Rehoboth manager Blake Hershelman. “We pitched and played defense very well against a really solid Millsboro team.”

Ryland West and Jimmy Mann had hits for the Millsboro squad.
