Linda B. Melvin, retired nurse
Linda B. Melvin, 71, of Millsboro passed away peacefully at Milford Hospice Center Friday, Nov. 8, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Melvin; and brother James D. Black of South Carolina.
Linda attended Henry C. Conrad High School in Wilmington and graduated from Brown Nursing School where she had over 40 years of nursing.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Melvin; and her son, John Tallent, both of Seaford; a nephew, David J. Black of South Carolina; niece, Connie Rachels (Brad) of South Carolina; great-nieces, Brittany Black and Cassidy Hope Black of Alabama, Nikki Harrison of Florida and Hanna Dale Rachels of South Carolina.
Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, Lindsay and John Samuel. She also had a dear friend, Ruth Parks of Millsboro, who was there for her in the good times and also during her final days.
The family wants to thank Larry, Butch and Judy for all their care and compassion during Linda's illness.
Services will be private.
