Local artists to host exhibit at The Glade Clubhouse Dec. 3

Rehoboth artists Susan Macintire and Barbara Sieger will host an exhibit of their works from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at The Glade Clubhouse, 16 Glade Farm Drive, Rehoboth Beach.

Macintire is a painter and pastelist residing in Lewes. Her bold shapes, adventurous color palette and keen sense of texture are key to her signature style. The former nurse began her artistic career painting wildlife and has expanded her subject matter over time. While her body of work largely reflects the sights and lifestyles of lower Delaware, this display will include landscapes from a summer trip to Italy.

Sieger is a self-taught artist who finds inspiration in the beautiful beaches of the Delmarva region. She captures the ethereal and spiritual beauty of nature using many light layers and glazes of paint. Her acrylic and oil cloudscapes, seascapes and dreamscape paintings began after she relocated to southern Delaware from rural Pennsylvania.
