May 26, 2019

Rehoboth Beach Museum will welcome back Michael Morgan at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 6, to discuss his newest book, “Deadly Storms of the Delmarva Coast.” He will offer a presentation on Storms and the Cape Henlopen Lighthouse along with a book signing.

Morgan's latest book is about the vulnerability of coastal Delaware, Maryland and Virginia to storms and storm-driven shipwrecks. He narrates the stories of these storms and reminds listeners of the power of wind and water. Morgan will also talk about how storms contributed to the demise of the Cape Henlopen Lighthouse, which fell into the sea in 1926.

Space is limited, so reservations are required; call 302-227-7310 to ensure a space. The program is free for members. A $5 donation is suggested for nonmembers.

The Rehoboth Beach Museum is at 511 Rehoboth Ave. There is free parking, and the museum is handicap accessible. For information on upcoming programs, go to www.rehobothbeachmuseum.org.
