August 27, 2020

The Brush Factory on Kings announced the addition of prominent local interior designer Mary Walls to its family of merchants.

After years of working with clients throughout the region on furnishing their homes, Walls decided to broaden her reach and offer items from her favorite collections to the general public.

Her new shop, the Salt Box Company, brings traveled treasures to Lewes-area residents and visitors.

“I grew up on a farm here in Sussex County, but have spent the past few years traveling the country. I’ve had the opportunity to collect a trove of unique home decor items including furniture, lighting and art. The Brush Factory location offered the perfect opportunity to share those items with both old friends and new acquaintances,” said Walls.

The Salt Box Company is a curated collection of vintage, new and old items – each selected to add character and charm to any home.

“I love a home that is not so polished, but relaxed and cozy,” said Walls. “My goal for the Salt Box Company is to offer hard-to-find items with character and a cozy appeal.”

The Brush Factory and Marketplace – featuring Rays Produce – has expanded its summer hours to 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Wednesday, when it is closed for cleaning and sanitizing. Parking is free.

The popular retail destination has now expanded to include more than 60 merchants and artists at its 830 Kings Highway location.
