Local MS walk team raises over $25,000

From the Sussex County Shore Group of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Team Zoom-Zooms, led by Jamie and Monroe Colvett of Milton, and Kay and Bob Oesterling of Milford, has tabulated the final the results of their 2017 MS Walk held May 19 at Colonial East in Rehoboth. A total of $25,515 was collected this year, making the Shore Group Zoom-Zoomers the No. 1 walk team in Delaware, a position the team has held for six years.

Their unwavering dedication to the cause provides support services directly to those folks living with multiple sclerosis.

Two individual participants went above and beyond in their fundraising efforts this year. Patty Bennett of Lewes contributed $5,860, earning her the second-place spot on Team Zoom-Zooms. The first-place fundraiser for 2017 was Kay Oesterling of Milford, weighing in with a whopping $11,800 contribution. Organizers send congratulations to them both, and to the entire MS walk team. Team Zoom-Zooms' lifetime total raised is $266,622.
