Lord Baltimore Women clean up Route 1 in Bethany Beach

Lord Baltimore Women’s Club recently held a cleanup of the northbound and southbound roadsides between Garfield Parkway and Fred Hudson Road in Bethany Beach.
Conservation Committee Chair Sue Cutter coordinates club volunteers who participate in the Adopt-a-Highway program.
In 2011, Sue Culin initiated the club’s participation in the program designed to encourage volunteers to keep a section of highway free of litter. The women’s club cleans both the northbound and southbound sides of the heavily traveled route on dates in the spring and fall.
