Love Creek students rock socks for Down Syndrome Association

World Down Syndrome Day was celebrated with the Rock Your Socks event throughout the Cape Henlopen School District March 21.
Staff and students wore crazy and silly socks to raise awareness and support for the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware.
March 21 (3/21) was selected as World Down Syndrome Day to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which leads to Down Syndrome.
The students at Love Creek Elementary sold the crazy socks from March 11 to 15 in an effort to raise money for the association. Collectively, the school raised $1,020 to be donated.
