Employees from Lowe's Home Improvement in Lewes and Millsboro spent the last week at the Oak Orchard Boys & Girls Club sprucing up the club and adding some much-needed amenities for the club. On Sept. 29 the members of the Lowe's Heroes Program gathered to unveil the new features of the club. The Lowe's Heroes Program motivates employees to team together, adopt a volunteer project with a local nonprofit organization or public school and make a difference.
The Heroes Program painted, installed new flooring, built cubbies and added a new picnic area for the club. A local farmer, Robert Kraus, graded the picnic area at no cost.
