Those who love homemade holiday cookies, cakes and pies can join the annual Cookie Walk Saturday, Dec. 11, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Lewes Senior Activity Center, Janice Road.
The public may also preorder assorted cookie trays from Monday, Nov. 8, to Monday, Nov. 29, for pickup on Dec. 11.
Select from a variety of freshly baked goods made and donated by LSAC members, including chocolate chip, chocolate fudge, oatmeal raisin, snickerdoodle, peanut butter and decorated sugar cookies. Or choose from desserts including pecan bars, Russian tea cakes, candies, brownies, peppermint bark or an assortment of freshly baked cakes, pies, cupcakes, and brownies.
Cookies are priced at $8 a pound. Desserts will be priced as marked. All proceeds will go to support LSAC operations.
To preorder, call the center Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with pickup at the center Dec. 11. Cookie tray 1, for $12, offers an assortment of three dozen cookies including chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, snickerdoodles, peanut butter blossoms and sugar cookies. Tray 2, for $15, offers an assortment of three dozen cookies, cakes and bars, including pecan bars, Russian tea cakes, and chocolate fudge and sugar cookies.
