A Millsboro man faces charges after police found him with crack and cocaine during a traffic stop March 8.
Delaware State Police recognized Tevon D. Savage, 29, who is wanted for several warrants, when they saw him riding in a silver Dodge Avenger at 8:48 p.m. in the Love Creek Mobile Home Park, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police. The car accelerated when police tried to conduct a traffic stop, but it eventually stopped and Savage was taken into custody without incident, Jaffe said.
Savage was found with about 2.08 grams of crack cocaine and .7 grams of powder cocaine, which he attempted to conceal, Jaffe said. He was transported to Troop 7 where he was charged with two counts possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $13,200 secured bond.
