A Millsboro man faces charges after police said he shot another man April 15 during an argument.
Christopher Fedder, 45, and another man, 52, were at an Oak Orchard home at 11 p.m. in the 34000 block of Sport Drive when the two began to argue, said Master Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police.
The argument escalated, Pepper said, and Fedder got a rifle and shot the man in the lower extremity. The victim was able to leave the home and drive himself to the home of a friend who transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment, she said.
On April 16, Fedder was taken into custody at his residence without incident and transported to Troop 4 where he was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and second-degree assault. He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $7,000 unsecured bond.
