Mariner soccer dominates Laurel 6-0

October 3, 2019

The Mariner soccer squad welcomed a Laurel team that had big numbers Sept. 30, but the Vikings didn’t play as warm and hospitable hosts; they put up a 6-0 score on the Bulldogs.

The Vikings outshot the bulldogs 25-3 and held a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.

Angel Arano-Rebolledo started the scoring for the Vikings with a blast past the Laurel goalkeeper at the 24-minute mark, the only tally of the first half.

Jordyn Presekenis started off the second-half barrage at 36 minutes off a pass by Angel Haro-Simental. Collin Sivels struck at the 41-minute off an assist by Talan Stevens. Dominic Drummond hit the twine unassisted at 48 minutes. Sivels hit for the fifth score of the game unassisted at the 54-minute mark, and Ashton Seneus finished off the Bulldogs with a goal at 60 minutes.
