Marlo Aurellis Tolliver, loved cooking

February 14, 2019

Marlo Aurellis Tolliver, 37, transitioned from this world Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, in the comfort of his home in Lincoln.  He was born to Marea and Marlo Tolliver at Milford Memorial Hospital Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1981.

Marlo, affectionately known as “Little Marlo,” was raised in Lincoln.  As a child, Marlo was no stranger to mischief, and loved to keep everyone on their toes.  He also enjoyed being a jokester. Marlo never missed an opportunity to prank someone, or share in laughter with those around him.  Marlo enjoyed spending time with family, friends and children.  Little Marlo enjoyed tinkering with his hands, seeing how things were made or how they operated.  Marlo was a jack-of-all-trades, and skilled at many things.  He could work on electronics, was trained in masonry, and was an expert at carpet-fitting.  He was most at peace when doing what he loved to do, cooking and creating dishes, while listening to his rhythm & blues music. He will be immensely missed and forever in our hearts.

Marlo is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Curtis Thomas Sr., and paternal grandmother, Iona T. Allen.  Marlo is survived by his parents, mother Marea Tolliver of Lincoln;  father Marlo F. Tolliver of Bridgeville; his 11 children: four daughters, Leah Reed of Bridgeville, K’yadda Petion of Wilmington, Keysyah Ford of Seaford, Kelysyty Ford of Seaford; seven sons: Marlyus White of Lincoln, Marzion Tolliver of Bridgeville, Kyle of Delaware, Kayden of Delaware, Quincy May of Dover, Marlo Tolliver Jr. of Dover, and Josiah Tolliver of Dover; his siblings, three brothers: Sean Thomas of Lincoln, Marlon Gunner of Federalsburg, Md., and Deondrae Tolliver of Dover; two sisters: Machika Thomas of Lincoln and Shakira Oliver (Anthony) of Seaford.

Marlo is also survived by his maternal grandfather, William Bowden of Millsboro, and his maternal grandmother, Grace Thomas of Lewes, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
