Mary Jane Emrick, 91, of Ocean View, formerly of Camp Springs, Md., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at her home.

She was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, Dec. 18, 1926, daughter of the late Melvin H. Kah and the late Julia M. (Brands) Kah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jonathan E. Emrick in 2016; a sister, Betty A. Kah; and a son-in-law, John Renfroe III.  She is survived by her five children, Rebecca S. Renfroe of Mansfield, Texas, Stephen D. Emrick and his wife Donna of Virginia Beach, Va., Elizabeth E. Martin and her husband Tom of Frankford, Mary K. Buckey and her husband Charles, III of Waldorf, Md., and Michael J. Emrick and his wife Joan of Ocean View.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, John Renfroe IV, James Renfroe, Christina Troxell, Ashley Long, Jeffrey Emrick, Lindsay Matthai, Jonathan Martin, Rebecca Wheeler, Charles Buckey IV, Nicole Buckey and Amanda Buckey; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas M. Kah of Wapakoneta.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, where the rosary will be prayed at 1:30.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 15, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Mary Jane’s name to St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE 19930.
