Memoir writing sessions to start Nov. 21

November 18, 2019

Rae Tyson will lead a memoir-writing class beginning at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Rehoboth Beach Museum; it will continue for two more sessions, Dec. 5 and 19.

Tyson will guide attendees through the process of creating one of the most popular forms of writing. Writing memoirs can provide an opportunity to create a personal legacy for friends and family alike. Tyson is a local journalist who teaches memoir-writing courses at the University of Delaware's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Lewes.

This new workshop will cover an array of memoir-writing skills and will include information on how to self-publish. Previous writing classes are not required.

Registration is required, with a $20 fee for members, and $25 fee for nonmembers for the entire three-part workshop series. Space is limited; to save a spot, call 302-227-7310.

The museum is located at 511 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Parking is available and the museum is handicapped-accessible.
