MERR Finraiser Nov. 16 to feature live T-shirt printing with local designer

November 3, 2019

Keith Mosher of KAM Productions, creator of the ubiquitous 302 Horshoe Crab design, will be on hand to create exclusive T-shirts for the annual MERR Institute Finraiser from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, at Salero Restaurant atop the Henlopen Hotel in Rehoboth Beach.

Using a design he created specifically for the organization, the prints will be hand-placed on shirts and provided to visitors for purchase during the evening. “I think it’s great that the people get to experience it being designed by hand in a traditional format,” Mosher said.

For the prints, Mosher is using water-based inks without added chemicals, and cotton-polyblend shirts made from recycled water bottles. “Every shirt saves six bottles from going into a landfill,” Mosher said.

Mosher will craft a number of unisex shirts in various sizes upon guests’ requests and will donate a portion of proceeds directly back to the organization. “It’s always satisfying to show people the work that goes into making something specifically for them, and specifically for this event,” he said.

Mosher’s live printing will be one of the many events scheduled for the annual Finraiser, which will also feature a wine tasting, live and silent auctions, live music, hors d’oeuvres, and more.

A number of local artists, restaurants, establishments, and destinations have donated items for the event, which marks the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year.

Tickets for the Finraiser are $70, and all proceeds go toward the nonprofit stranding response and rehabilitation organization that is dedicated to conservation of marine mammals and sea turtles. Tickets can be purchased by visiting merrinstitute.org and at facebook.com/MERRInstitute/. Tickets can also be reserved by calling 302-228-5029.
