Michael W. Moore, brick mason

Michael W. Moore, 48, of Milton passed away suddenly Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, from an aortic aneurysm at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

Mr. Moore is survived by his parents, Kenneth G. Moore and Janet E. Moore of Lewes; one sister, Gayle E. Rolak and her husband R.J. Rolak, and two nephews, Ryan and Collin Rolak, all of Forked River, N.J.; and his longtime companion and love of his life, Yvette Cruz of Milton.

Michael was born in Northport, Long Island, N.Y.,  Nov. 7, 1970. He moved to Pocono Mountain, Pa., with his parents and sister at the age of 10 months. He graduated from Pocono Mt. High School and Vo Tech as a brick block mason, a career which he pursued his entire life. Michael spent his last years working for Dave Wilson Masonry in Harrington, where he was a hard, dedicated worker.

Michael was an active Boy Scout, Little League baseball player and ski instructor. He loved riding his quad runner and his papa's snowmobile. His hobbies were freshwater fishing, playing pool at his home on his own billiard table, and he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Anyone wishing to donate in Michael's memory may do so at the Milton Community Food Pantry, 114 Federal St., Milton, DE 19968, which he supported.

A Memorial honoring Michael will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
