Delaware Branding Company artist Menna Artese recently brought home a trophy from the Cruel Summer Tattoo Arts Festival in Waldorf, Md.

Artese's scrolling tattoo of the word "Patience" on a customer's calf earned first place in the competitive ink contest's Best Lettering category.

More than 150 top-tier tattoo artists traveled from across the country for the event that drew thousands of attendees.
