The Milford High School FFA students excelled in career development events with numerous placements at the state level.
Ashlyn Welch received the state degree, the highest degree an FFA member can earn at the state level.
Placing first in the state and third nationally were Farm Business Management team members Julia Adams, Harley Lardner, Charlese Price and Julie Walls.
First-place winners in the state were Curtis Sharp in Tractor Driving, and Opening and Closing Ceremonies team members Jacob Smith, Sarah Hastings, Hannah Haigh, Miranda Walker, Sarah Stevenson and Ashlyn Welch.
For Prepared Public Speaking, Hannah Haigh placed second in the state and third nationally.
Placing second in the state were Marketing Plan team members Sarah Stevenson, Beau Davis and Katelyn Watson; and Veronika Moore for Extemporaneous Speaking.
Third-place winners for the state were Parliamentary Procedure team members Jacob Smith, Sarah Stevenson, Ashlyn Welch, Sarah Hudson, DeShanae Jones and Natalie Armstrong.
Jacob Smith received a state proficiency award in specialty animal entrepreneurship for raising, selling and showing pigeons.
