Milford High School students to perform ‘Twelve Angry Jurors” Nov. 16-18

November 14, 2017

The students of Milford High School's Drama Club are thrilled to present "Twelve Angry Jurors," a powerful drama in which the 12 members of a jury must come to a unanimous decision about the guilt of a 19-year-old man who has been accused of murdering his father. Tempers flare as the jurors question the evidence and each other in an effort to determine if there really is some measure of reasonable doubt.

The play was written in 1953, but its themes – including racism, integrity, and justice – are still timely. Director Carissa Meiklejohn said, "I chose this play not only because it is still so relevant but because it gives the students the chance to work on their dramatic acting skills. I am so proud of the students for how they have jumped right into the difficult task of performing such weighty subjects."

Cast members include Alina Bashkirova, Tobias Biro, Amire Collins, Millisen Dill, Lauren Edwards, Jacob Elliot, Calvin Gillespie, Caitlin Greenlee, Melina Hudson, Leah Molitor, Christopher Proetzel, Gabriel White, Rebecca Wisniewski and Natalie Zelano.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 16-18, in the Milford High School Auditorium. There will also be a matinee at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18. One performance may be cancelled in the event of a home football playoff game. Tickets for all performances will be available at the door. Cost is $5 for ages 2-18 and 60 or older, and $7 for all others.
