A Millsboro man, 86, died Aug. 23 following an earlier crash on Long Neck Road.

Police said William Wonchoba was driving a Ford Explorer at 11:50 a.m., Aug. 18, westbound on Mallard Road approaching Long Neck Road when he stopped at a stop sign, but then turned left into the path of a Chrysler Pacifica driven by a Millsboro man, 69.

As a result, police said, the front of the Pacifica struck the driver’s side of the Explorer. Wonchoba was taken to an area hospital, and he died Aug. 23 from his injuries.

The driver of the Pacifica was taken to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this crash and asks anyone with video footage or information relevant to the crash to contact Master Cpl. J.
