Millsboro woman dies in Oak Orchard car crash

A Millsboro woman, 67, died following a car crash Oct. 28 near Oak Orchard.

The crash happened at 1:54 p.m. Route 24 near Layton Davis Road when a 2006 Ford F250 pickup truck operated by a 57-year-old Millsboro man exited the parking lot of WMF Watercraft & Marine and pulled out in front of a 2013 Buick Verano operated by a 64-year-old Millsboro man traveling eastbound on Route 24, said Master Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police. As the Ford tried to go west, Pepper said, it struck the right front of the Buick with its left front. Evelyn R. Westover was seated in the Buick’s front passenger seat and she was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. On Oct. 29, Pepper said, Westover succumbed to her injuries.
