Milton Arts Guild’s next Artful Touch event will be Mounting Paintings on Wood Blocks with Sally Reed from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 310 Walnut St., Milton.
Once a person has completed a watercolor or acrylic painting, the question is how to display it. Using a few finishing products, Reed will teach attendees how artwork can be mounted onto birch blocks or panels. This technique avoids costly frames and heavy, breakable glass.
Attendees should bring their own watercolor, acrylic or other artwork to crop the image to mount on a 3-by-3-inch block. MAG will provide the blocks plus products to adhere and preserve the work.
MAG Artful Touch Classes are $30 for MAG members if prepaid. For nonmembers or members who have not prepaid, the cost is $40. To register and pay, go to www.miltonartsguild.org, or contact Ginny Barney at 302-236-8225 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or Kathy Fessenbecker at 727-421-9530 or email@example.com.
MAG Artful Touch classes explore new techniques and topics in a no-pressure environment, making them a great way to try something new.
