Milton Arts Guild announces Sept. 19 Artful Touch

September 13, 2018

For Milton Arts Guild’s next Artful Touch event, Liz Miceli will demonstrate techniques using treasures found in nature, combining acrylics and creativity to produce amazing organic artwork. The class is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Milton Arts Guild, 310 Walnut St., Milton.

Participants should bring collected sticks, leaves, pine cones, moss, flowers, sand, seashells or other natural items. Dried and pressed leaves and flowers are great combined with acrylic paints. Plants may be pressed between layers of newspaper using books or other heavy objects. Attendees should have fun collecting and bring these treasures to class for a night of fun and discovery.

Miceli has been interested in art since early adulthood. She also discovered digital photography and the ability to edit photos to enhance the artistic look she desires.

Micelli has been painting ever since joining a watercolor class 10 years ago. She expanded her mediums to include oil, acrylic and pastel. She has studied under several professional artists to improve her craft. Her work appears in commercial and private collections. She resides in Milton.
