Milton Arts Guild watercolor paint-along continues Oct. 27

Milton Arts Guild’s watercolor paint-along classes with Anne Buck will continue from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Oct. 27, Nov. 10 and 17, via Zoom.

In this series of classes, students will learn to paint a fall scene, step by step with Anne Buck. Participants will learn to crop photos to get a focal point and composition, and then discover the importance of using of line drawing, value study and color study. Water reflections and beautiful fall color make this a perfect project for this time of year.

Supplies needed include several pieces of 5-by7-inch, 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper attached to a support board; watercolor brushes round sizes 2, 6, 8 and 10; flat ¼-inch; rigger 1 or 2; and a 1 ½-inch wash brush. Paint colors needed are Yellow Ocher, Cad Red or Scarlet Lake, Permanent Rose, Raw Sienna, Cad Yellow, Permanent Sap Green, Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue, Burnt Umber and Burnt Sienna. Note: If an attendee does not have these colors then they may select a red, a yellow, a light blue and a dark blue, and a brown. Also needed are a sketchbook, No. 2 pencil, eraser, artist tape, water container with water, and paper towels. Suggested art supply online vendors are listed on the guild website.
