Milton Community Food Pantry to distribute Nov. 24

The Milton Community Food Pantry will hold a special distribution of food prior to Thanksgiving from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Goshen Hall in Milton. Recipients can meet in the Goshen Church parking lot at the corner of Federal and Mulberry streets. Pantry volunteers will direct people on how the distribution will work at Goshen Hall two blocks away.

Check the pantry website miltonpantry.org for details related to all food distributions. Find a local food distribution site by calling Delaware 211, a free online human services referral line that has been supported by United Way Delaware since 2005.

The pantry will be accepting food donations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sundays at Goshen Hall, 114 Federal St. Questions for the pantry team can be emailed to pantrymilton@gmail.com.

For more than six years, the Milton Community Food Pantry has been committed to helping people get supplemental food. As communities experience more food insecurity, it is recognized as one of leading small independent not-for-profits addressing food insecurity in northeastern Sussex County. The pantry currently serves between 50 and 80 families at each distribution and has distributed more than 450,000 meals. MCFP is dedicated to innovations in how it can best distribute food and support the community in changing times.
