Distributions continue to address food insecurity in trying times
November 12, 2020

The Milton Community Food Pantry accepts food donation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sundays, at Goshen Hall 114 Federal St., Milton.

The pantry will continue to use its new protocols. Volunteers will be available each week to take donations of canned and dry foods. Storage for fresh items is currently limited.

For more information about what is needed, go to miltonpantry.org/ or email pantrymilton@gmail.com. Due to COVID-19, the pantry had not been able to take donations and resuming is a large step toward more normal operations.

The pantry team continues to look for a permanent location and other monetary support. The pantry is participating in the Delaware United Way campaign and the Combined Federal Campaign. Any donation how large or small both in food and funds is appreciated.

Pantry volunteers wants to thank the community and the officials in the Town of Milton for their ongoing support.

For more than six years, the Milton Community Food Pantry has been committed to helping people get supplemental food. As communities experience more food insecurity, the pantry is now recognized as one of leading small independent nonprofits addressing food insecurity in northeastern Sussex County. Currently the pantry serves between 50 and 80 families at each distribution. Its volunteers have distributed more than 450,000 meals since its founding.
