Milton Garden Club presents scholarship

At its September meeting, the Milton Garden Club presented a $3,000 scholarship to Emerson Monroe. Now in her final year at Delaware Tech, Monroe is a landscape and ornamental horticultural student.
Monroe was a member of the FFA throughout high school and is currently in the FFA at Delaware Tech. Last year she helped with the greenhouses there and worked in the farm market. In the future, Monroe would like to have her own retail greenhouse business.
This is the second scholarship the club has awarded this year.
The 2019 scholarship information will soon be on the garden club website. Applicants must plan to major in landscape, plant science, agriculture or horticulture.
