Milton Lions hear about Medicare fraud

Milton Lions celebrated Halloween by wearing costumes to their Oct. 24 meeting.
Guest speakers were Patrick Carney, senior Medicare patrol supervisor, and Joanna Friend, volunteer coordinator.
They discussed the Medicare fraud that happens in Delaware, and advised people to always check their Medicare and physicians’ statements upon receipt. If anything looks incorrect, it should be reported.
People should be aware that legitimate Medicare, Social Security and IRS representatives will not call them on the phone for any information.
