Milton Theatre to host singer-songwriter showcase Sept. 23

Sol Knopf, Ed Shockley, Keith Mack, and Cliff Hillis to perform

Not just one but four talented singer-songwriters will come to the Milton Theatre stage at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23. This incredible night will feature four big names in the live music scene whose roots all trace back to Delaware: Sol Knopf, Ed Shockley, Keith Mack, and Cliff Hillis.

Award-winning artist Sol Knopf is best known for his distinctive baritone voice and timeless original songs. Attendees might recognize his top single “My Baby Girl,” which is the most-requested independent single as a father/daughter wedding dance song. Knopf has played with Grammy Award-winning and Hall of Fame-inducted artists during his extensive career.

As one of Delaware’s most beloved singer/songwriters, Ed Shockley’s music has been popular in southern Delaware for many years. Most notably, he was recognized by the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival as The Ambassador of Music in 2005. As a member of several different musical groups and throughout an extensive solo career, Shockley has made quite a name for himself around the country.  

For more than 30 years, Keith Mack has been touring and performing around the world with rock legends like Cyndi Lauper, Paul Young, and Joe Cocker. As a solo artist, Mack has been recording and performing his own music since 2014.

Cliff Hillis has been performing up and down the East Coast recently in support of his recent EP, “Love Not War.” This extended play record was recorded with Hillis’ band “The Forward Thinkers and reached a wide audience with airplay on FM radio and Sirius satellite radio.
