May 29, 2020

Milton Theatre announced its upcoming soft reopening with movie screenings at a limited 30 percent audience capacity.

The theater will screen “The Wizard of Oz” at 3 and 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, and “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” at 3 and 7 p.m., Thursday, June 4.

Audience members are assured their health and safety are of utmost importance. Ticket availability is limited to ensure social distancing measures.

Tickets cost $8 to $10 for nonmembers or $7.20 to $9 for members. Tickets are available exclusively via phone at 302-684-3038.

The Milton Theatre played a pivotal role in creating the Phase 1 reopening plans for Delaware.

State legislators sought the assistance of the Milton Theatre team to come up with reopening guidelines and procedures for theaters and performing arts venues across the state.

Some of the plans the team submitted are now part of the official Delaware guidelines for arts and culture museums, galleries and historical attractions.

Milton Theatre is one of only two theaters across the state that will be opening Monday, June 1.
