Milton Fire Department flies the American flag during the May 25 Memorial Day ceremony. Milton VFW Post 6984 held its annual Memorial Day ceremony May 25, as citizens and veterans gathered to remember those who died serving in the United States armed forces.
The event, held in Milton Memorial Park, featured remarks from Mayor John Collier and a guest speech by Master Gunnery Sgt. Richard Hilemen, a retired Marine who spoke of friends he knew who were killed in action.
The ceremony culminated with the placing of the wreath below the U.S. flag by Master Sgt. Robert Racich.
