Miriam's Table to hold bingo fundraiser Feb. 29

February 10, 2020

Miriam's Table will hold a bingo fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 29, at St. Jude the Apostle Parish Life Center,152 Tulip Drive in Lewes. The event will feature 10 rounds of bingo, and live and silent auctions. There will be prizes for each bingo round, and complimentary snacks will be served.

A nonprofit organization founded in 2014 by Lewes residents Ed and Susie Keefer, Miriam’s Table provides a nutritious meal five days a week to 350 children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It also dispenses medications and mosquito netting to fight malaria.

Most of the children in the Democratic Republic of Congo are chronically malnourished. Miriam's Table was inspired by Susie Keefer's mission trips to the DRC and her realization of the unmet needs of the children there. The organization bears the name of Ed and Susie's daughter, whom they adopted from the DRC in 2013.

Admission to the event is $20 per person. For tickets, call or text Jaclyn at 302-278-2777, visit Miriam's Table on Facebook, or go to www.Eventbrite.com and search beach bingo.
