Moe’s reopens in Rehoboth

October 27, 2021

After five weeks of renovations, Moe’s Southwest Grill reopened in Rehoboth Beach Oct. 27.

Franchisee Travis Odom said, “Moe’s was started in 2000, and we’ve never really grown up. We say we were so 2000s with our yellows and our greens. We wanted to modernize the restaurant with new colors, new finishes to bring a more modern feel to the Moe’s experience.”

The big change is to the seating layout, which Odom said he hopes will make the restaurant easier to get around in. Moe’s in Rehoboth has 70 total seats.

Odom is the franchisee of three of the four Moe’s locations in Delaware. He said not only have his restaurants been remodeled in a similar fashion, but so have other locations across the country as Moe’s tries to modernize its brand.

While the physical space has changed, Odom said the experience is still the same. The menu has not changed, and employees still greet customers with “Welcome to Moe’s!” when they enter.

The grand opening held Oct. 27 was punctuated with free entrees, followed by $5 burritos all day long on Oct. 28.

Moe’s Southwest Grill is located in Shops at Sea Coast off Route 1 north of Rehoboth and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
