A two-month drug investigation involving 10 local, state and national law enforcement organizations resulted in more than 100 marijuana plants found Aug. 12 in Sussex County.
Milton Police Chief Robert Longo said 107 plants were found in the Ocean View and Dagsboro area, but he would not give the exact location because of an ongoing investigation.
The marijuana has a street value of $214,000, he said.
In addition to Milton Police Department, officers from Ocean View, Dagsboro, Delmar, Delaware State Police, national guard units from Delaware and Maryland and the DEA participated in the drug bust dubbed Operation Summer Harvest.
“Our goal is to bring more local agencies in on future missions and expand the number of opportunities we can partner our resources to help maintain the quality of life in Sussex County and our communities,” Longo said.
