Morgan has experience Lewes needs

April 22, 2021

In the past I often heard arguments that our Lewes City Council members served for too long and that there was too much “lawyering” at council meetings. In the 2020 election, two new candidates were elected to council. Both now bring their different backgrounds and areas of expertise to council.

There are compelling reasons to re-elect Rob Morgan. I highlight two. Rob Morgan has served respectfully on council since 2014, previously served on the finance committee and the planning commission. He has, and will share “institutional memory” and seven years of experience on council. Rob also brings his professional experience as a practicing private and government attorney and negotiator. These are both exceptional assets for the City of Lewes, which would otherwise be dependent solely on outside counsel. The upcoming election for two council members allows voters the opportunity to retain one very dedicated, experienced candidate, and further diversify our representation with the election of one new member to Lewes City Council.
