Moskowitz, Persinger can continue momentum

September 17, 2020

Dewey Beach has changed dramatically over time, and for the better, in the 38 years we’ve been property owners. In recent years Dewey has become more family-oriented, with improved infrastructure, better services and more a supportive business-community environment. The current town council has been instrumental in keeping this momentum going, while also managing chal lenges during our economic recovery from the pandemic. David Moskowitz is a resident raising his family in Dewey and has been on the council two years. He is an energetic and skillful manager who has demonstrated talents as an effective communicator and organizer. Gary Persinger has been on the council four years, with a background in town planning, and has greatly contributed to the many recent improvements in Dewey. He has been a Dewey property owner for over three decades. They are both running for re-election to the two town commissioner positions open this September. A third candidate for these two positions is William Stevens, who only recently became a resident of Dewey. He is a relative newcomer, without the extensive experience with issues in Dewey that Moskowitz and Persinger have. My wife Eleanor and I will be voting to re-elect David Moskowitz and Gary Persinger as Dewey Beach commissioners, and encourage our Dewey neighbors to join us.
