Movies on Tap and Dogfish donate $10K to Urban Bike Project

March 9, 2019

The Movies on Tap team and Dogfish Head Brewery recently presented a check for $10,640 to Urban Bike Project Wilmington at Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton.

As the largest single Movies on Tap fundraiser to date, the donation came from the 2018 season finale featuring the 1989 classic film, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” and beer from Dogfish Head Brewery and Breakthru Beverage Group, beer distributor for Dogfish Head. A record number of more than 600 people attended the sold-out season finale, which filled seven theaters.

Urban Bike Project Wilmington supports Wilmington communities by providing access to bicycling as a healthy, affordable, and practical means of transportation and recreation.

Movies on Tap is a monthly, interactive tasting series that features meet-and-greet tasting opportunities with local brewers and brewery representatives while providing a rare opportunity to view cult-classic films on the big screen at Penn Cinema Riverfront in Wilminton. Tickets cost $20, and include a movie, beer samples, and popcorn, with 100 percent of ticket sale proceeds benefiting brewers’ charities of choice.
