My Beach Agent acquires Active Adults Realty

Bill and Christine Davis now Active Adults Realty
April 23, 2021

Active Adults Realty announced it has been acquired by Bill and Christine Davis, My Beach Agent owners, effective April 5.

“We couldn’t be happier that Bill and Christine are the new owners of the company we started 12 years ago,” said Kathy Sperl-Bell, associate broker and founder at Active Adults Realty. “I can retire knowing that they have the same vision and dedication to customer service. Our team and our clients will be in excellent hands.”

“We look forward to growing the business and working with the great team of agents at Active Adults Realty,” said Bill Davis, broker/owner at My Beach Agent. “We will merge the two entities under the Active Adults Realty banner at its current Savannah Road location. A second location on Second Street in downtown Lewes is under construction, and we expect it to be open by midsummer 2021.”

Started by Kathy Sperl-Bell and Bill Bell in 2009, Active Adults Realty opened its doors at 1504 Savannah Road, Lewes, in December 2010. Kathy had been a licensed Realtor since 2001; Bill obtained his license in 2005. The independent brokerage has focused exclusively on the active adult market, especially the 78 million baby boomers planning for retirement. Over the past 12 years, the company grew to 17 agents and 250 closed transactions in 2020. This year’s transactions are on pace to exceed 2020’s, despite low housing inventory and the challenges of COVID-19.

Christine and Bill Davis merged their real estate careers to create My Beach Agent Realty Group after years in the business operating as individual agents. Christine has been a licensed Realtor since 2003; Bill obtained his license in 2005. When the project on Second Street in downtown Lewes began, they both knew opening their own brokerage to support their clients and agents was the next step. Having known Kathy and Bill for years, they said the next step was clear ... join and grow Active Adults Realty.
