Nadine C. Thompson, a true treasure

Nadine C. Thompson, 65, of Milton, beloved wife, sister and mother, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, from cancer.  She was born in Weehawken, N.J., to Vincent and Anastasia Dombrowski.

She made Milton her home since 2013, relishing in being near the ocean and bay.  Nadine also loved being a “Jersey Girly.”  She graduated from George Washington University, majoring in kinesiology.  Later she studied at Strayer College and began an I.T. career with Dialcom.  She worked as a director in the field of computer science.  

An avid athlete, Nadine at one time ranked 10th in the U.S. for women’s singles in badminton.  Nadine married Richard C. ‘Rick’ Thompson April 19, 1980, in Rockville, Md.  She loved her family, softball, dogs, quilting, crafts and the Redskins.  Her family and co-workers considered her a true treasure.  She was kind and generous to all she met, sharing her unique talents in quilting and scrapbooking.  

Nadine is survived by her husband of 40 years, Rick Thompson of Milton; daughter, Theresa “Tess” of Baltimore, Md.; son, Sam of Milton; and identical twin sister, Nancine.

Due to the current coronavirus health emergency, there will be no memorial service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a cancer research organization are appreciated.
