Nassau Valley Vineyards Farmers Market to open May 12

April 1, 2019

Nassau Valley Vineyards Farmers Market will open for its fourth year on Mother’s Day Sunday, May 12. The market is held on Sundays from 12 to 3 p.m. through mid-October. The market features over two dozen vendors, live music and the NVV sangria bar.

Nassau Valley Vineyards co-owner Peggy Raley said, “We have a beautiful mix of really fantastic farmers and artisan craft vendors as well as on-premise food vendors. You can come grab lunch, listen to great music with a sangria or a glass of wine, then do your shopping for the week. We will also feature some Delaware craft beers at the sangria bar.” Market Master Pat Coluzzi consistently procures the best vendors for both the Nassau Valley market and the Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market.

Nassau Valley Farmers Market organizers are proud to host Dr. Uday Jani each season for his market talks. These informative sessions provide in-depth looks at eating local, organically grown produce and farm products. His talks are always so well attended they end up as standing room only. The NVV market hosts other guests such as local chefs, wellness providers and the Delaware Nature Society.

The added bonus of the market’s location at Nassau Valley Vineyards is that visitors can tour the winery, enjoy a wine tasting and shop for award-winning, local wines. The winery is in its 25th year of operation. Nassau Valley also hosts local and regional artists, so guests can enjoy the art gallery that is part of the tour.
