New sign graces Dewey Beach Baywalk

Focal point visible by land and boat
June 2, 2022

Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, a new sign installed on the Town of Dewey Beach Baywalk offers a focal point on Rehoboth Bay.

The two-sided, 8-foot-wide sign is visible by boat and by land. The addition of the sign was spearheaded by the town’s marketing committee, said Commissioner Paul Bauer, marketing committee liaison.

“Our phenomenal maintenance team installed our new sign for everyone to take their beautiful sunset pictures in Dewey,” Bauer said.

The sign cost $4,300 and was purchased with funds from the marketing committee’s beautification project donation campaign, Town Manager Bill Zolper said, and the beautification fund may be reimbursed with Community Transportation Funds from the state.
